Becoming a 5-Star Leader-Mentor-Coach in the New Normal:
Transform your Leadership and Watch your People
– and your Business – Thrive

The Strategic Context

Pre-pandemic, the pace of unrelenting change in the global business environment have highlighted new standards on how we should treat and train people. The all-situation controlling leadership style was as ineffective as it was unwise over the long run. An acute need for teamwork and empowerment, and leadership styles based on influence – not just authority – was widespread.

The emergence of millennial and Gen Z employees posed a unique leadership challenge. They demand work that is interesting and which utilizes their strengths, a work environment that recognizes and rewards their value, and where they see their job as making a contribution to society. Having grown up with the internet and being avid users of mobile digital devices, they are independent data gatherers and take for granted the democratization of information access and authority.

The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated these challenges. Routines and informal social connections that typified daily life were disrupted. Work from home has brought additional burdens, testing home relationships. There is the lingering threat of business failure that could lead to layoffs. These and other changes have had a disabling effect on employees’ motivation, mental health, and energy.

Within this context, manager-leaders today find no relief from the pressure to meet their targets and be engaged and exemplary leaders to their teams.

The 4 modules of the web workshop address these issues:

  1. Cultivate influence, not authority.

  2. Develop a menu of leadership styles.

  3. Mentor, coach, then empower your people.

  4. Cultivate a team culture that energizes people and promotes resiliency.
